One Aldwych

We worked with Fabled Studio on these decorative mirrors for the Lobby Bar and Indigo Restaurant of One Aldwych, London. The verdigris colour inspiration for the verre églomisé panels was inspired by the copper-clad cupola of this landmark Aldwych building.

The panels are first seen inside of the lobby portals and are created using gold leaf and polychromes in rusts and soft verdigris on a dark background. The design is carried through to the mezzanine restaurant, but with a verre eglomise white gold reflective background. The pieces are set within elegant dark wood panelling and serve as a back drop to the curved banquettes.

Verdigris for Belgravia Residence

Studio Reed commissioned Studio Peascod to create these large gold verre églomisé panels, enveloped by copper verdigris, to hang above a grey lava stone bath.

Large gold and copper verdigris verre eglomise panels hanging over grey lava stone bath

Project Belgravia Residence, London | Designer Studio Reed

Studio Reed commissioned Studio Peascod to create three large gold verre eglomise panels with copper verdigris, to hang above a grey lava stone bath.

The intricate textures and colours of the panels were achieved using a technique developed in the studio. Together with 22 carat gold leaf verre eglomise, the panels feature real copper leaf that was antiqued by hand to produce the rich verdigris shades. This process mimics the natural patina that occurs with copper when exposed to the elements over time.

Mondrian Shoreditch

A joyful collaboration with painter Fred Coppin, for the lobby and bar areas of Hotel Mondrian Shoreditch, London designed by Goddard Littlefair. We treated the morning sun in warm reflective gold verre églomisé, transitioning to midday with glowing soft coppers through to the evening’s deep bronzes and luminous verdigris.

A joyful collaboration with painter Fred Coppin, for Hotel Mondrian Shoreditch designed by Goddard Littlefair. For this lively lobby and bar area, Coppin’s concept depicts the sun's transition from its golden glow rising at dawn, to its setting, revealing dusky evening hues.
