Mondrian Shoreditch

Lobby of Hotel Mondrian Shoreditch in the evening with very large verre eglomise panels in gold, soft copper, bronze and verdigris

Project Mondrian Shoreditch, London | Designer Goddard Littlefair

A joyful collaboration with painter Fred Coppin, for Hotel Mondrian Shoreditch designed by Goddard Littlefair. For this lively lobby and bar area, Coppin’s concept depicts the sun's transition from its golden glow rising at dawn, to its setting, revealing dusky evening hues.

We treated the morning sun in warm reflective gold verre eglomise, transitioning to midday with glowing soft coppers…

…through to the evening’s deep bronzes and luminous verdigris.

The piece in situ in Shoreditch, the evening sun dancing on the surface of the verre eglomise glass.
